D. K. Smith is owner of a marketing, media, and research firm in the Midwest. After growing up on the family farm, he moved to Columbus (14th largest U.S. city) to attend college, where he majored in public relations and political science. Born in 1983, D. K. is an early millennial dedicated to following his passions. He is active in his suburban community as a member of city council and is married with two children. He remains loyal to his rural upbringing by making maple syrup from neighborhood trees. Additionally, he developed the nation’s first policy to promote edible plants in public spaces.
