In this book I will be showing you the optimal ways and forms to get your content out to the masses and through these methods drive them back to your site.
While you want to be recognised for producing original content you don’t need to be too worried about duplications at this point, I will explain this later in the book. You do want it to be found in the easiest possible way though.

RSS Feeds:
One way I will be doing this is taking more of a look into RSS syndication and blog directories (Even though I covered this briefly in my ‘business blogging’ book). I will show you in this book how to get submitted to as many different blog and RSS directories as possible.
I will be discussing whether to use a whole or partial RSS feed. There are arguments for this either way. We will have the full debate later in this book.
A further topic will be how you can use other sites RSS feeds and mash them together bringing their best posts to the fore front. This could be interesting and relevant for your readers and if it is they will be more likely to check back with you often.
I will also show you how to get your RSS feeds listed on shopping aggregator sites. This will be particularly useful if you are an e-commerce store. If you get listed on the Google Merchant Centre they display your items when people do a search in Google shopping.
You can also use RSS feeds to build automated email newsletters. While we covered email marketing in Book 7, one thing we didn’t cover was that you can take your RSS feed and broadcast it to your list automatically.
Most people prefer receiving your updates via email instead of through an RSS reader. It is likely that email will always be a more popular method of receiving content updates compared with RSS.
What is good about RSS feeds is that they work in the background and they are the things that power shopping sites and social media as well.

Social Media Directories and Author Rank:
I will also be covering social media syndication. These include directories in Twitter, Facebook, and people directories. There are loads of places to submit your information in this area as well. These can quickly get you likes and followers if done right.
People directories have now become more important recently as Google has started paying attention to who are writing things. They are trying to establish who the authorities are in certain subject matters. This is all linked to micro data which we covered in book 5.
You can use these directories to establish yourself as a trusted author in your niche. Google will give the articles you write more authority and even use your photo next to it in the search results!
